Colour

The colour of a diamond can be a confusing term because essentially the more white or colourless a diamond is, the more valuable it becomes. There are many subtle differences in shade and these are graded from D being colourless (highest grade) down through the alphabet.

Aura recommends diamonds from D to J in colour for jewellery purposes. J has a yellowish appearance but can still work well when set in a yellow gold setting.

If you are looking for a fancy coloured diamond of say, pink, yellow or blue, then these follow different rules altogether. Colour can be confusing so if you have any queries we'll be only too happy to answer them for you.
